Most of you know Mike Framke as the lunatic American Football coach that was the first person to complete Kelso’s evil ‘Deck from Hell’ drill. Well Mike’s back, and this time he’s been kind enough to give an insight into his other forte, American Football. Before I delve into the techniques and methods of tackling, I want to say “Thank You” to Haydn Ellis and the rest of the Brutal Crew for the opportunity to share some of my coaching methods.

I’ve been a high school football coach since 1989.  There was a brief period of “exile” that ended last fall when I was asked to coach again.  As I’ve gotten older, I’ve also become more “Old School”.  That is, I’ve streamlined my philosophy, discarding the nonessentials and retaining the basic, but important components of playing successful football.
