The Snap Plank Burpee

The Brutal Effect on catsAs you know, I love to mix things up and compound burpees is one of my favourite ways. One of my least favourite exercises is the plank. I’m sure the same people that do ‘planking’ for abs also own their very own ‘Abdominator 5000’. However, I was sure there must be some way to make this exercise a real bitch and here’s its evolution so far.

The Snap Plank

Begin in a plank position looking docile and non-threatening. Then, without warning, snap from the elbows down position up to a push up hold position (the top of the push up). Pause briefly holding this and then drop back down into an elbows down platform again.
