The Food Pyramid Paradox
How I lost 20kg using the Food Pyramid then gained a new life doing the opposite.

Everyone has heard of the Food Pyramid. We learnt about it at school, we’ve seen it on TV and we were all told it was the only way to a long healthy life. Well it certainly worked for me for 18 months. The Pyramid’s shortcomings sprang up when I began demanding a slightly elevated level of energy and stamina from my body. That’s when the fun began. I stopped hindering my body’s natural processes by eliminating the products of western industry from my diet i.e. White bread, to name but one. Otherwise known as “baked glue” – think about it. What I have learnt since I nose dived off the top of the Pyramid has drastically changed my diet, my outlook and the size of my wardrobe.
