Can't get rid of that belly?
About a year ago I began starting my day eating only fruit for the first 3 hours or so. According to renowned health commentator Phillip Day (www.credence.org), our body goes through three cycles in any 24-hour period. You stick it in your face, you assimilate it, and then you eliminate it. Mr. Day suggests that the elimination cycle is in operation from 4am until approximately 12 noon daily.
Common sense would dictate that if your body is eliminating don't stuff a junk food sausage muffin down your throat. By eating fruit in the mornings you are assisting your body in eliminating and detoxifying your system. Fruit digests in the small intestine rather than the stomach and so helps push any improperly digested foodstuffs out of your digestive tract.
Nothing better than a morning purge I say. Often however, once is not enough, and you will find yourself on the toilet up to four times a day, particularly when you first begin this dietary change. It will seem as though there is more going out than you are putting in. That's because there is. The intestinal plaque that has been clogging up your colon is finally breaking free. It is this plaque (a build up of white flour products and sugar stuffs) that causes that belly to protrude over your Lycra shorts. It is not fat!
