RICHARD MOIR
Pro Golfer

Rich MoirSo what have you been up to since we talked to you last, way back in Issue 2?
Well since then I've turned professional and played in about 13 or 14 events. I'm playing most of my golf over in Asia, but obviously when I'm home going to Brutal Training.

I've played in the Philippines, Myanmar, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao, Thailand, all over the place. I've had a 6th place, a 5th and a 3rd. The third was in my last leg over there, in the first tournament, straight off 4 weeks of Brutal Training and I lost by one shot and played really well. Everything felt like it was beginning to click. The breathing I was doing, that week, on the course really matched how the club was being swung. I felt very comfortable out there.

How do you view your development in terms of the physical and the mental?
Well, I kind of lost the plot there for a while (last few months). I just got a bit lazy and didn't train much and to tell you the truth things started going to shit. My whole life was kind of turned upside down, but now I'm back training and training harder than I was before. Also, I'm sorting out a lot of other things off the golf course. Learning life skills I guess. It's made me grow up a bit and stand on my own two feet, which is great especially if I'm going to spend a lot of my life traveling overseas by myself.

Do you travel by yourself overseas?
I've taken my brother over a few times to caddie. That's been interesting, but lately it's been just me. But now I'm looking at my girlfriend coming over with me for the rest of the year.
