Just do it

In Seung Sahn’s book ‘The Compass of Zen’ (a commentary of his talks), Seung Sahn addresses the audience and asks them what a particular object is (pointing to a tea cup). A member of the audience replies, “It’s a cup.”

Seung Sahn states, “It’s not a cup, it’s called a cup! So what is it?” The audience is then dumbfounded.
