Train hard, Forge the Sword, Cut Deep
Train hard means both physically and mentally. To train either without the other is to create an imbalance. Train hard also means 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Many people separate their lives into two distinct categories of ‘training’ and ‘living’. They cannot however be separated. A distinction made between them is a distinction of mind. Life is training, without such an attitude you can never expect to penetrate to the other shore.
Forge the Sword. To begin with this sword is your will which is only a starting point. Because will is a manifestation of mind when the bull nature recedes so does your will, and only then is the true sword revealed. This is the sword of your natural state, your true heart. To forge it means to polish and strengthen your “heart” until its power and strength is greater than that of the mind. The mind will then recede to no-thing for the illusion that it is.
Cut Deep is the final stage. It is the stage when the heart is stronger than the mind, and then the heart cuts once and for all to the core of the ego mind. One cut, too fast to be seen. With an all pervading sword, where can this mind hide?
Train hard, forge the sword, cut deep is the path in its entirety. Start now for there is no time to waste. Don’t check yourself, quickly, quickly.
