The Te of Piglet by Benjamin Hoff
The first ever review on this website was now five issues ago and was on a book called The Tao of Pooh, a Taoist’s view of life brought to us through the readings of Winnie the Pooh. Well this month’s review is on the follow up book called The Te of Piglet also by the same author.
Firstly let’s start by describing what Te (pronounced DEHr) roughly means. The writing of Te in Chinese is in two parts, the first is the character for upright, meaning virtue, and the second being the character for left foot, which signifies stepping out. Thus what we’re basically looking at is Te meaning virtue in action. The main virtue in action that this book brings to us is represented through a very small animal, that of Piglet from A.A Milne’s Winnie the Pooh.
