Choke – An Insight to a True Warrior

This month’s review is of a documentary made around 10 years ago on the preparation of a few of the world’s leading freestyle fighters as they prepared for the 1995 Vale Tudo Championships in Japan. Entitled ‘Choke’ this Robert Goodman directed documentary mainly focuses on Rickson Gracie, a 400+ win/0 loss exponent of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and out and out legend of the Mixed Martial Arts world. It is because the documentary was mainly focused on him and because it discusses many of his training philosophies that it is being reviewed this month.
