Want to spice up your Olympic Lifting sessions? Try these exciting (stupid and dangerous) variations. I like to warm up with standard lifts and then add a few of these on.
Dead Jump
Try a barbell about 2/3 of your body weight. Deadlift it and as you do so jump off the ground. 2 sets of 5 usually warms me up. Enjoy the landing. Hope your arms remain attached to your torso.
Clean and Pop
Grab a barbell about half your body weight. Clean it with one addition. As you hurl the weight upward thrust so hard that you leave the ground and land as the weight comes to rest at the top. I like to do sets of 5 reps. Usually 4 sets.
