Some Brutal Science
In this monthâs profile Chris Crowell answers the question, âWhatâs your least favourite part about Brutal?â withâŚ
âMy least favourite part is that there isnât much scientific material regarding the mind and reality.
There are more parallels between science and philosophy than ever before and I think itâs a very interesting area of study.â
Chris isnât the first to express this sentiment. For the record, scientific justification has (until now) generally been avoided on this site for a number of reasons. These include but arenât limited to:
1. Understanding the scientific rationale behind something doesnât produce improved performance, mind set or healthier thinking. It is only experience that teaches not conceptualization and cognitive thinking.
2. Science for most is just another religion, an anti-religion that heralds observation and rational thought as the highest Gods.
3 .Quantum physics is simply a theory used to explain a phenomenon rather than a truth unto itself.
HoweverâŚ
When training people in Awareness (see âBall in a Binâ in the membersâ area) the first thing I do is identify the basic metaphors that form that personâs belief system. If religious, I use religious metaphor. If new age, I use Deepak Chopra and the modern philosophers. If logical and deep thinking, I use scientific metaphor. To me, I donât give a shit what you believe. I just need to know in order to find a way in to unplug the ego mind and teach you to express your true Self.
But for all the scientific minded amongst you we really only need look at the mightiest of all unexplained phenomenon and the ramifications associated with it. I came across this information many years ago in a little book entitled âIn Search of Schrodingerâs Catâ. It was a follow on from reading books such as âSeven experiments to change the worldâ and the Deepak Chopra classics. For those of you that would like a more clearly detailed explanation there is a section in the expanded pack of âWhat the Bleepâ that provides a visual explanation of the material that follows.
So itâs the mother of all quantum physics experiments and the bridging between faith and science. It isâŚ
