Lead by Example

In Issue 1 of ‘Train the Trainer’ we’ll be looking at the phenomenon of group training sessions and the importance of ‘leading by example’ within that context. Leading by example means different things in different contexts. Here we deal with the group environment.

Brutal Training’s DAT (Dynamic Athletic Training) sessions involve groups of individuals ranging in ages from 7 to 45+ with representatives of both sexes. We regularly host training for more women than men. And it’s not because they’re soft sessions. Some sessions attract in excess of 20 people. All participants have become involved through referral. We believe that leading by example is an essential element in the success of DAT sessions.
