Energy

Everybody behaves the way they do in order to gain energy. Just like human batteries, people relive the same dramas over and over in order to obtain energy. ‘The Celestine Prophecy’ was quick to point out that humans seek the attention and approval of others in order to feel energised.

If I’m aggressive toward you and you become submissive I have stolen your energy. I become fully energised whereas you are left weakened and insecure. If I complain and whine and you give me your undivided attention I drain you of your energy by being a victim. If I act aloof and secretive and take an ‘I’m better than you’ attitude to attract your attention, again I’m stealing your energy. Most people have control dramas particular to them that they live out again and again. The typical victim or intimidator being two such characters.

This is one of the primary reasons why people train. They train relative to others. If I train in a manner that is superior to you and let you know about it then I’m intimidating you and stealing your energy. I have trained many people that become addicted to the feeling of superiority they derive from improved physical prowess. This of course stems from inherent insecurity. I have also trained people that refuse to take responsibility for anything and keep contacting me over every trivial detail of their training. In this instance the student is addicted to the energy and attention of the trainer. Some students are so insecure they exhibit traits of both types above.
